Tempe Seeking Public's Help Alleviating Traffic Congestion
The city of Tempe is hosting a pair of virtual meetings on its plans for improving traffic and transportation in the area.

TEMPE, AZ — The city of Tempe is seeking the public's help in mapping out its transportation network, creating "a 20-minute city" in the process.
The city's Transportation Demand Management and Transportation Management Association plans on doing just that, starting with a pair of virtual meetings later this month on the subject.
The two meetings, which are being held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on May 22 and from noon-1 p.m. on May 26, aim to get the public's feedback to a slate of transportation projects.

The program hopes to provide the information, assistance and incentives needed to motivate Tempe residents to use other forms of transportation besides cars, in addition to helping create alternative work plans, such as telecommuting and staggered shifts for employees to cut down on commuting times.
