Tempe Seeks Public Input On City's Return From COVID-19 Pandemic

The city of Tempe asks the public to complete a survey to help the Downtown Tempe Authority plan for the summer months.

TEMPE, AZ — A collective of businesses in downtown Tempe banded together to assess the public's plans for the summer months in the late stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Downtown Tempe Authority, in partnership with the International Downtown Association, posted a survey to determine residents' plans for working, shopping, dining and recreation this summer.

The survey, which can be accessed here, is meant to help businesses determine how they can help customers feel safer when they return to their stores.

Questions in the survey ask about the public's interest in returning to offices and what types of events and special events people want to see in Tempe going forward.

The survey also includes questions about the region's public transportation options and asks people for their thoughts on items such as mask mandates and local governmental policies regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.

Survey answer are confidential and will be reported in aggregate, the city said.
