Walmart Grocery Delivery Expanding To Over 100 Metros
The company says the service would be added to more than 100 metro areas by the end of the year.

Walmart is expanding its online grocery delivery service to more than 100 metro areas across the country. The service is currently available in six markets and Walmart claims the option would be available to more than 40 percent of U.S. households by the end of 2018.
Customers in Dallas, Denver, Orlando, Phoenix, Tampa and San Jose can currently use the service. A Walmart spokesperson said the company would announce the metro areas where the service would be coming in 2018 over the course the year.
“We’re saving customers time by leveraging new technology, and connecting all the parts of our business into a single seamless shopping experience: great stores, easy pickup, fast delivery, and apps and websites that are simple to use,” Greg Foran, president and CEO, Walmart U.S., said in a press release. “We’re serving our customers in ways that no one else can. Using our size and scale, we’re bringing the best of Walmart to customers across the country.”

Customers place their orders online or via the Walmart app. Walmart employs more than 18,000 personal shoppers that are trained to select fresh produce and meats for the shoppers.
Shoppers can also order groceries online and pick up their orders in stores. That service is available in 1200 stores and will be added to 1000 more by the end of the year.
