Are YOU ready to read for fun and prizes?

I hope so because the summer reading program is ready for you! The theme of our program is Imagine Your Story. This year, it's all online beginning on June 1 and ending on August 14! We have a really neat program called READsquared, and all you have to do is go to the READsquared website, register, and start reading (or listening!). For every minute you spend reading or listening, you will earn one point. Before you know it, you will have 1,000 points! When that happens, you will have earned your LIBRARY PRIZE BAG full of coupons and other prizes. Keep on reading, though, because we have an end-of-summer GRAND PRIZE to award, and the more points you have, the greater chance you have of winning! Imagine that!

There are other fun things to do on READsquared!

When you and your grownups register, everyone will get to design their own avatar. You'll earn badges along the way for reading, and there are also some fun games to play. You'll be able to complete missions for extra points. Don't know what to read? There are great reading lists to help you.

If you haven't already seen it, our YouTube video gives you all the highlights. Your librarians had a lot of fun making it, and we hope you like it!

Who do we thank?

The Summer Reading Program is made possible by a grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services to the Arkansas State Library under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act. Additional funding is provided by the Friends of the Library. Our community partners that have generously provided coupons are Hardee's, Burger King, Freddy's Steakburgers, Papa Murphy's Pizza, and Texas Roadhouse. The Arkansas State Library, under the CARES Act, provided funding for the READsquared program.
