Fort Smith, AR – The Directors and their Boards for the Bonneville House, The Clayton House and the Fort Smith Museum of History are excited to announce a second collaboration. Together, these non-profits are presenting, “Christmas in July” a family fun, holiday market festival. The 3-day collaborative event will celebrate all the feels of Christmas and excitement of early holiday shopping with activities that include a VIP party, Friday and Saturday shopping, children’s activities during the weekend, tasty food trucks, “Sip & Shop”, music and a rockin’ street dance.  Special guests include Santa, Mrs. Claus and Santa’s elves!
 
All shopping and events will take place in the historic area of Downtown Fort Smith. “Christmas In July” will kick-off with a VIP Opening Thursday Night Event at the “Bakery District’ with the sounds and tunes of the “Don Bailey Jazz Trio”. Heavy hors d'oeuvres will be a modern and spirited twist on the traditional Christmas Dinner. The evening will also include silent and live auctions, and a donation raffle featuring an exquisite piece of jewelry donated by Newton’s Jewelers.
 
Friday will include amazing shopping opportunities and children’s activities at each venue. Unique vendors will offer creative wares unique to Fort Smith. Volunteers will host children for an exciting day of kid’s fun. Friday evening offers, “Sip & Shop”, an adult event with exclusive shopping opportunities paired with wine tasting at the FSMH, bourbon and whiskey tasting at the CH and martini tasting at BH.  Tickets to “Sip & Shop” give guests access to all three venues.
 
Saturday will kick off a very special Christmas Breakfast with “Elf” at the Bonneville House! Saturday continues the unique shopping opportunities and fun children’s activities at The Clayton House and FS Museum of History. Some of Fort Smith’s favorite tasty food trucks will be available at each hosting venue.
 
Saturday night wraps up 3-days of fun with a terrific “Christmas In July” street dance, which will take place in front of the FS Museum of History. The band will be the popular “Big City Moses II”. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. This will be a family fun event and children may enter free with a nonperishable food item.
