Prior to his work with Murphy Business, Belden owned and operated Russell Belden Electric Co., which was founded by his late grandfather in 1929. Belden purchased the electrical supply business from his father and later sold it in 2013. Belden continued to assist the acquiring firm for two years while it transitioned to new ownership and emerged with a newfound appreciation for business brokerage.
