Italian Tourist Killed In Little Rock: 2nd Suspect Pleads Not Guilty

Charina Fort and Andre Jackson are charged with capital murder in the July 28 killing of cab driver Carlo Marigliano.

LITTLE ROCK, AR — A woman charged in the fatal shooting of an Italian tourist in Arkansas has pleaded not guilty to capital murder.

An attorney for Charina Fort, 31, entered the plea Monday on her behalf, The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported.

Fort and Andre Jackson, 32, are accused in the July 28 killing of Carlo Marigliano, 31, who was shot and then crashed his vehicle into a Little Rock apartment complex, police said. It remains unclear how Marigliano and the two suspects crossed paths.

Jackson is also charged with capital murder. Online court records do not list an attorney for him.

Family members told Little Rock television station KTHV that Marigliano was traveling with friends in the U.S. before leaving the group to visit other areas on his way to Arizona.
