Depleted stockpiles have been restored to near 100 percent and should be sufficient for operations related to the forecasted storm event. Day crews will begin working on Sunday to pretreat snow routes across the city. A night crew will report at 6 p.m. on Sunday night to continue treating and removing any winter precipitation that occurs during the nighttime hours. Crews will work 12-hour shifts until streets are cleared and traffic patterns can return to normal.
Residents are reminded that City offices will be closed on Monday in observance of George Washington’s Birthday Holiday and Daisy Gatson Bates Day. All solid waste collection routes will be delayed at least one day and crews are scheduled to work Saturday, Feb. 20 to catch up.
