Mayor Invites Little Rock Residents To Help Shape Future Of The Tri-Creek Greenway

Mayor Frank Scott Jr. today invited Little Rock residents to help shape the future of the Tri-Creek Greenway as the Trust for Public Land in partnership with AARP and the City of Little Rock launched a new online engagement activity where residents can comment directly on the development of the city’s Tri-Creek Greenway. The activity will allow residents to contribute to the creation of the plan by marking opportunities, areas of concerns, and ideas for improvement along the planned greenway.

“We are excited to bring this innovative new communication tool to gather feedback in helping unite Little Rock by connecting our parks,” Mayor Scott said. “We would like to thank everyone for their input as we work on enhancing the quality of life for our citizens.”

Herb Sanderson, State Director of AARP Arkansas, commended the city for its initiative and vision. With 10,000 people a day turning 65 in the U.S. cities need to be proactive to make communities economically, socially, and culturally better for people of all ages. Creating safe parks and public makes places is great for everyone.”

Public input is critical to developing the Tri-Creek Greenway, which will provide a low-stress bicycle and pedestrian corridor for transportation and recreation in underserved portions of Little Rock by connecting Kanis, Boyle, First Tee, Hindman, and Boyle Creek Parks.
