Pine Bluff Triple Shooting: Suspect Dead, Cop, Bystander Hurt
Police say Michael Malik Kawon Lee shot a police officer in the leg during an altercation outside Harbor Oaks Restaurant.

PINE BLUFF, AR — A Little Rock man shot a Pine Bluff police officer early Saturday during a struggle in a restaurant parking lot, and the suspect was later shot to death by another officer, state police said.
Witnesses told investigators that several people gathered outside the Harbor Oaks Restaurant around 12:30 a.m., state police said in a release. The restaurant is located along the northern edge of the city within the Pine Bluff Regional Park.
A fight broke out and Pine Bluff police officers intervened. One officer tried to pull Michael Malik Kawon Lee, 18, from the fight and he shot the officer in the leg, state police said. A second officer shot Lee as he reportedly tried to flee. Lee died at the scene. Asia Amos, 19, was also injured by gunfire in the altercation, state police said. Both Amos and the wounded officer are expected to survive their injuries. State police are still trying to figure out who shot Amos.
An autopsy will be performed on Lee’s body.

Arkansas State Police are investigating. Prosecutors will then review the case and determine whether police justifiably shot Lee.
The officers weren't immediately identified.
