Southwest Dumpster Day Provides Opportunity For Little Rock Residents To Discard Large Items

The City of Little Rock’s Public Works Department announced on Monday Southwest Dumpster Day, an event where residents will be able to dispose of large items free of charge.

During Southwest Dumpster Day, Saturday, Nov. 21 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Public Works staff will have roll-off dumpsters at the Southwest Community Center, 6401 Baseline Road. The dumpsters will be in the parking lot across from the Dee Brown Library.

Acceptable items include:

· Furniture

· Mattresses

· Household trash

· Clothing

Prohibited items include:

· Tires

· Yard waste

· Liquids such as paint

· Appliances with freon such as air conditioners, refrigerators and freezers
