14 Dramatic Photos Of California Wildfires This Week

As of Wednesday, Cal Fire says 14,000 firefighters are battling 28 major wildfires across California.

CALIFORNIA — As wildfires continue to rage across the Golden State, skies across California are clouded with smoke and ash. As of Wednesday, Cal Fire said these blazes have now burned over 2.5 million acres of land this year alone.

In Southern California, a fast-moving fire in the foothills of Yucaipa prompted evacuation orders for Oak Glen, a farm community that just opened its apple picking season to the public.

Cal Fire's San Bernardino unit said the fire had scorched at least 800 acres and was burning at a "moderate to dangerous" rate of spread.
