2 CA Residents Arrested In Violation Of Hawaii Coronavirus Rules

Two California residents were arrested in Hawaii after officials said they tried to check into a hotel without proof of a coronavirus test.

CALIFORNIA — Two California residents were arrested in Hawaii Thursday after officials said the pair violated the state's COVID-19 protocols, according to multiple reports.

The two Fresno residents — Miriam Rosas, 22 and Abel Rosas, 34 — reportedly attempted to check into a hotel in Waikiki on Tuesday without documentation of a coronavirus test or exemption. They also refused to quarantine, according to KITV 4, ABC News.

The two Californians were found after the hotel sent an alert out to other Waikiki hotels, KITV reported. They were arrested at another hotel, where they had checked in after claiming they were Hawaii residents, officials told KITV.
