Another Reason To Love Firefighters: They'll Feed Your Fish

While battling the massive Carr Fire, personnel took the time to care for a pet fish while the owners were evacuated.

SHASTA COUNTY, CA -- A California girl is relieved Monday after returning to find her fish survived the massive Carr Fire in Shasta County thanks to some firefighters. In a tweet, Cal Fire officials said personnel took care of Grant the Fish after the girl and her family were evacuated due to the 200,000-acre blaze that swept across Northern California.

"After a father informed his daughter that her fish was likely dead, both were in for quite a shock when they returned home to a well-fed fish!" the tweet said.

The tweet included a photo the firefighters left for Grant's owner that read, "Fed your fish a few sprinkles. Sorry if we weren't supposed to."

The kind gesture was praised among Twitter users who received yet another reason to love firefighters (other than, you know, protecting lives and property!). See some of their reactions below.
