CALIFORNIA — The coronavirus pandemic has put a tremendous strain on nearly everyone and everything — on families and communities, on society and the economy, on governments and other institutions. Patch wants to know how you think everyone is doing.

We've created a survey with questions in three main areas: on how you view the performance of governments and key elected officials during the crisis; on how you and your family have been affected economically; and how well you and your community have followed guidelines on social distancing and staying at home.

The survey is not meant to be a scientific poll, with random sampling and margins of error. It's meant only to gauge the sentiments of our readers in an informal way. But we hope it gives a broad idea of public attitudes at a difficult time for everyone.
