The Joshi Pod Hosts Bull Nakano

Today, The Joshi Pod releases its latest episode (#22) with arguably its most impressive guest, the legendary Bull Nakano. After returning from a weeklong trip from Japan, where he conducted several wrestling industry interviews, show host Eric Howard welcomes Japan's most famous women's wrestler to The Joshi Pod.

In the rough and tumble world of professional wrestling, success is as rare as winning the lottery and failures are as easy a three count. For Bull Nakano, she was a trailblazer.

"Nobody (in WWE) knew about me. When I wrestled Medusa, everybody watched the match and copied everything we did the next day," said Bull Nakano through an interpreter. "That is how I got known by the other wrestlers."

In a ninety-minute long interview in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan, Nakano and Howard dive into the highs and lows of her wrestling career as well as life outside of the ring that included a professional golf career.

"Bull Nakano is the Babe Ruth of Joshi wrestling," said Howard. "She elevated the sport from a hidden gem in Japan to the WWE mainstream."
