NorCal Man Dies After Coronavirus Diagnosis And Receiving Vaccine
A man in Placer County who tested positive for COVID-19 in late December died several hours after receiving a vaccine on Jan. 21.
DAVIS, CA — Officials are investigating the death of a man who was diagnosed with coronavirus in late December and received a vaccine on Thursday. The man died just hours after the vaccine was administered, according to the Placer County Public Health Department and the county's Sheriff-Coroner Division.
The vaccine was not administered by Placer County Public Health, officials said. It is unknown where the man got his vaccine or which vaccine he received.
The man's cause of death has not been released yet.

"There are multiple local, state, and federal agencies actively investigating this case; any reports surrounding the cause of death are premature, pending the outcome of the investigation. Our thoughts are with the family of the deceased," officials said in a statement.
