WILLITS, CA -- A Northern California mother was arrested last week after she allegedly left her 18-month-old son in the car for 10 hours, sending him to the hospital where he died. The incident was reported around 1:38 p.m. June 20 when Mendocino County deputies were called to Howard Memorial Hospital in Willits involving the case of the small child.
An investigation found Alexandrea Raven Scott, 23, of Trinidad, Calif., and her son, Chergery Teywoh Lew Mays, were in the vehicle belonging to a friend when they went to a home on Mitomkai Way, officials said.
Scott allegedly left her son in the car unattended with the windows rolled up for about 10 hours, officials said.
