A writer from AOL's Translogic auto blog recently had the chance to tour the new Chevrolet Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle with the Los Angeles Police Department.
The new patrol cars are equipped with an easy-to-navigate touch screen, infrared night vision cameras and an automated license plate scanner.
The sculpted front seats have cutouts for officers’ guns and radios and provide maximum comfort for officers. The rear seats have cutouts for handcuffed passengers.  Â
