Agoura Hills CVS Postpones Vaccine Appointments Until Thursday

CVS locations won't be taking appointments until later this week, but there are still many places near Agoura Hills to get vaccinated.

AGOURA HILLS, CA — CVS announced that registration for the coronavirus vaccine at its Kanan Road location will begin Thursday.

Last Tuesday, the chain announced that it would start taking appointments at roughly 100 locations throughout Los Angeles County and California, and eligible clients could begin signing up for appointments Tuesday. However, a shipping delay announced Monday means that Californians won't be able to register until Thursday, and appointments won't begin until Friday.

Anyone eligible for a vaccine can register online, through the CVS app, or by calling 800-746-7287. Walk-in appointments are not permitted, and vaccines will only be given to people eligible to receive them in California, which currently includes health care workers, long-term care residents, and anyone over 65 years old. Approximately 81,900 total doses are on "limited rollout" to CVS, sourced directly from the federal pharmacy partnership program. In Los Angeles County, vaccination clinics are also available in West Covina, Playa Vista, Norwalk, and Granada Hills.

Once at the appointment, clients will need to prove they fall into one of the eligibility categories by providing appropriate documentation, and documentation varies per category and dosage. See what counts as appropriate documentation on LA County's website.
