Director Guillermo Del Toro Sells Agoura Hills Home For $2.1 Mill

AGOURA HILLS, CA – Academy Award-winning director Guillermo del Toro just sold his Agoura Hills estate for $2.1 million shortly after listing it, Los Angeles Times reported. The "Shape of Water" filmmaker bought the home in 2010 for $1.633 million, and listed it for $2.195 million in March, according to the newspaper.

The 5-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom home is located at the end of a cul-de-sac. It includes an entertainment room, marble-lined fireplace and a wet bar that includes a wine refrigerator – all great elements for a house made for entertaining. The backyard features a pool and spa with a built-in barbecue and lounging patio for those gorgeous Southern California summers.

Del Toro, 53, mainly creates horror and action movies, including "Mimic" (1997), "Blade II" (2003) and "Pacific Rim" (2013). He was the fourth Mexican director in the last five years to win an Academy Award for directing, according to Los Angeles Times.
