Feb. 22: Budget Talk and Bottled Beer Tuesday

The  will be meeting at district headquarters in Calabasas at 6 p.m. Items scheduled for information include an update from , who is filling a four-month vacancy on the district's senior leadership team. Also on the agenda is a proposed policy regarding district relationships with established foundations, approval of the annual report, and a discussion of the district budget.

The will launch a "Save Our Schools" fundraising mail campaign asking for one-time donations to avoid or at least offset budget cuts. Information about the campaign, including donation form, credit card payment link and FAQs is available at the 2011 Fundraising Campaign page of the district's website.

4. Learn How to Handle Yourself When Disaster Strikes

The  will be holding a Disaster Medical Operations training session in the Community Room of the from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Attendees will learn treatment strategies for life-threatening conditions, as well as principles of triage. The event is free.

5. Bottled Beer Tuesday

It's “Bottled Beer Tuesday” at . All of the micro brewery's cellar ales are 20 percent off, including Russian River Consecration, St. Feuillien Saison, Cascade Sang Rouge, Cascade Apricot ale, Hanssen's Oude Kriek, Cascade Kriek, and Liefman's Kriekbier. All bottled guest beers are available "to go," as well as growlers of Ladyface's own brews.
