Lindero Graduates Say Goodbye to Middle School
About 300 eighth-graders celebrate as they move on to high school.
In front of family, friends and faculty, roughly 300 students of Lindero Canyon Middle School's graduating class of 2010 made their way across the athletic field to receive their diplomas Tuesday afternoon.
Thousands watched as teachers announced their picks for departmental awards in such subjects as language arts, mathematics, foreign language and industrial technology.
Culmination speaker Katie Chong encouraged her peers to "love the life you live."

Principal Ronald Kaiser presented the 4.0 and Golden Cougar Awards. Special honors were handed out by the Capretta family. Las Virgenes Unified School District board President Gordon Whitehead accepted Lindero Canyon's class of 2010.
