Heat Advisory Issued In Agoura Hills

AGOURA HILLS, CA — The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for the Conejo Valley, where temperatures are expected to hover near the triple digits Thursday.

The advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. Thursday to 9 p.m. Saturday, and has also been issued in the San Gabriel Valley, the Santa Clarita Valley, the Santa Monica Mountains, and the interior and coastal valleys in Ventura County.

Highs will reach 96 in Agoura Hills on Thursday, go up to 98 on Friday, and stay at 99 Saturday. Temperatures over the next few days are expected to remain in the upper 90s.

“Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors,” the National Weather Service advised. “Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances.”

The Weather Service wearing loose-fitting clothing, and knowing the signs of heat stroke, which include high body temperature, altered mental state or behavior, headache, and racing heart rates.
