Kanan Transportation Service Adds Third Shuttle

The service will be free until November.

A third shuttle has been added to the Kanan Shuttle Service route during school pick-up and drop-off times in response to its popularity.

The addition was approved this week by the Ventura County Public Works Agency. The transportation service launched on Aug. 5 and demand has soared, according to county officials.

The additional vehicle will function during peak school hours from 6:38 – 9:23 a.m., and again from 2:23 – 4:23 p.m.

The shuttle service currently operates Mondays-Fridays between 6:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. every 15 minutes during school peak traffic hours, and every 30 minutes the rest of the day.

The new Kanan Shuttle Service is a collaboration between the Ventura County Public Works Agency, The City of Agoura Hills and First Transit.

The shuttle service transports riders along a 14-stop route that begins at the 101 Freeway and Kanan Road, and travels along Kanan Road.
