Meet An “Amazing” On A Never-Ending Quest For The Perfect Cookie
Wally Amos, 84, known more familiarly as the creator of the Famous Amos cookies, is developing yet another cookie brand, "Aunt Della's."

Wally Amos, at 84, known more familiarly as the creator of the Famous Amos cookies, is developing yet another cookie brand, “Aunt Della’s,” which will no doubt be as tasty and cherished as Famous Amos. Wally, who had been living in Manhattan as a teen, joined the US Air Force and ended up serving in Honolulu. This may explain his enduring love of the islands, although he did return to NYC after his honorable discharge.
In addition to his cookie-career, Wally wrote a number of books, most were with self-help themes seeking to uplift and inspire others. In addition, Wally is a proponent of literacy. He's helped thousands of adults learn to read, in particular through a TV series he hosted called "Learn to Read," produced by Kentucky Educational Television and WXYZ-TV. All this evolving from the search for the perfect chocolate chip cookie. Yum.
