Meet An “Amazing” Who Is Both Award-Winning Musician & Patriot

John Williams, at 86, continues to rack up well-deserved honors and success. This year alone saw him receive his 72nd Grammy nomination for his most recent “Stars Wars” soundtrack. He also received the Royal Philharmonic Society Gold Medal, Japan’s Record Academy Project Award, and Spain’s Premio Princesa de Asturias de las Artes. He released his latest album, “John Williams in Vienna,” the best-selling orchestral album of 2020.

You may not be surprised by his musical success, but how about the fact that John served in the US Air Force for 4 years, going through basic training like everyone else, and then proceeded to play piano and brass, as well as conduct and arrange music for the US Air Force Band. An accomplished musician and a patriot, how sweet is that?
