One Dead In Burning Vehicle Crash On 101 Freeway
The crash was on the northbound Ventura (101) Freeway at Lindero Canyon Road.
AGOURA HILLS, CA – A woman and her dog were killed this afternoon when the vehicle she was driving veered off a freeway off-ramp, crashed into a tree and caught fire, authorities said.
The crash was reported about 2:30 p.m. on the Lindero Canyon Road off- ramp from the northbound Ventura (101) Freeway in the Westlake Village area, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher said the vehicle was engulfed in flames when CHP officers and rescue crews arrived.

He confirmed the deaths of both the female driver and the dog, the vehicle's sole occupants.
The off-ramp was closed and a SigAlert was issued, according to the CHP.
