Agoura Hills Patch has recruited a Moms Council of eight knowledgeable mothers with kids of all ages—from toddlers to teens—who will be answering questions posted by parents, lead discussions of key parenting topics in our area, and reach out to online and offline moms’ groups in the community. Stay tuned for  throughout the coming week helmed by the Council.

Paint Campus Purple Week begins Monday at Agoura High. The Relay for Life team will be dressed in purple accents to support the event that supports local services and resources for cancer patients and their families. The 14-hour overnight event will be held on May 20 and 21. The Agoura High team's Shira Muroff will report back mid-week for our Youth Perspectives column.

City Council will assemble at  at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. The city will present an annual Agoura Hills Volunteer Recognition - Community Services award. Also on the agenda is the city's parking ordinance, which has not been comprehensively updated since it was adopted in 1987. Council will discuss updating the ordinance to reflect current parking trends, particularly regarding serve-related uses, such as salons, ice-crean and yogurt shops, gyms and animal care facilities.
