Meanwhile, here are three (unscientific) rules for Super Bowl food stardom:
- Make it easy to eat. After all, waving a steak knife in the air after a touchdown is ill-advised.
- Use familiar-flavor favorites. I hate to say it, but the Super Bowl is not the time to impress the neighbors with your mango-curry chutney or masterful preparation of sweetbreads.Â
- Run the option. Make sure there's at least one hearty vegetarian snack (not just celery and carrot sticks) and one low-cal option for your guests. Just because you're prepared to down two pounds of ground beef doesn't mean that was the plan for everyone else.
