Signups for the Southeast Ventura County YMCA fall basketball league will be in August. The season begins Sunday, September 10.

Signups for the Southeast Ventura County YMCA fall basketball league will be in August. The season begins Sunday, September 10.
The co-ed league is semi-competitive and focuses on skill development and having fun. Each child plays while learning teamwork and basketball fundamentals. No prior playing experience is necessary. Practice and game locations will be announced.
The league is divided into five grade divisions: pre-k/kindergarten, first and second grades, third and fourth grades, fifth and sixth grades and sixth through eighth grades (open division).

Sign-ups and skill assessment dates are Saturday, August 19 (9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.), Thursday, August 24 (4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.) and Saturday, August 26 (9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.). Signups and assessments will be at the outdoor courts at Westlake Community Park (31107 Thousand Oaks Blvd., Westlake Village). Pre-k and kindergarten players can sign up on any of these dates and times (no assessment required).
The league fee is $115 (pre-k and kindergarten) and $165 for first through eighth graders. There is an additional $40 membership fee for YMCA nonmembers. League fees include a uniform and trophy.
