Still Time to Sign Up For Swim Lessons at the YMCA

Adults and kids can learn to swim and become water safe during the summer at Southeast Ventura County YMCA branches.

Southeast Ventura County YMCA branches are offering opportunities for adults and kids to learn to swim and become water safe during the summer. One-week sessions are running now through August 19.

The Triunfo YMCA will conduct swim lessons at the Agoura Hills High School pool (28545 Drive Ave., Agoura Hills). Conejo Valley YMCA, Miller Family YMCA and Simi Valley Family YMCA will hold swim lessons in their indoor pools.

Thirty-minute group and private lessons are available Monday through Thursday and on Saturdays.

Children will be placed in swim classes based on their level of experience. The National YMCA introduced new swim program names this year: Swim Starters (parent and child lessons), Swim Basics (recommended skills for all to have around water) and Swim Strokes (skills to support a healthy lifestyle).
