The View from Agoura Hills: A Trace of Chumash
This week's photograph is of a yucca plant nestled in Ladyface Mountain.

According to our Wild Agoura columnist Robert Coutts, the Chumash used to use the leaves of the yucca plant to make baskets and the roots for soap. "It's a native," Coutts says.
