Triunfo Summer Camp Sign-Ups Now Underway
Triunfo YMCA summer camp is for campers entering grades kindergarten through eighth grade.

Summer will be here before you know it. Signups are now underway for the Triunfo YMCA summer camp runs from June 18 through August 17.
Triunfo YMCA summer camp is for campers entering grades kindergarten through eighth grade. Counselor-in-Training programs are available for teens in ninth and tenth grade. Camp is held at the Y’s afterschool facility at Sumac Elementary School in Agoura. Parents can sign up their kids by the week, full time (four to five days a week) or part time (one to three days).
Camp activities are based on age group: kindergarten and first grade, second and third grade, fourth and fifth grade and teen camp for sixth, seventh and eighth graders. Camp activities include swimming, games, field trips and exploring and appreciating the outdoors.

Two programs are being offered during camp hours--Safety Around Water (SAW), designed to teach children water safety and basic swimming skills and Find My Genius, a six-week summer achievement gap program for low- and moderate-income students who are not reading at grade level. Both programs are provided at no cost to qualifying participants.
Camp hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Extended care starts at 7:00 a.m. and ends at 6:00 p.m. at no extra cost.

“YMCA camp keep kids active and engaged during the summer,” says Chrissy Withers, Triunfo YMCA associate executive director. “While having fun is a top priority, all YMCA camps also put a big emphasis on personal growth, self-respect, character building.”
