Triunfo YMCA New Fall Basketball League Taking Signups

The Triunfo YMCA is signing up participants for its new co-ed fall basketball league. The eight-game season begins September 25. Skills assessment and signup dates are Wednesday, August 24 and Saturday August 27 at Deerhill Park (6700 Doubletree Rd., Oak Park). Those registering by July 15 receive $25 off the league fee.

The league is semi-competitive and is focused on skill development, basketball fundamentals, sportsmanship, teamwork and having fun. No prior playing experience is necessary. Divisions are ages 3 and 4, 5 and 6, 7 and 8, 9 through 11 and 12 through 14.

Games will be played on Sundays at Medea Creek Middle School. Each participant receives a uniform and trophy. Participants who cannot attend the skills assessment will be assigned a team.

The cost is $110 for the age 3 to 4 division and $160 for upper divisions. A $40 YMCA program membership fee is required for YMCA nonmembers. Early-bird registration forms are available at the YMCA office (31225 La Baya Dr., #106, Westlake Village).
