Urban Plates To Reopen In Thousand Oaks With More Outdoor Dining

The restaurant chain is amping up al fresco options in Woodland Hills, too. And new on summer menus at both: a family-sized, BBQ ribs meal.

THOUSAND OAKS, CA — After temporarily shuttering since the onset of COVID-19, Urban Plates on West Hillcrest Drive in Thousand Oaks will reopen Aug. 3 with more room for al fresco diners on its newly expanded patio.

Following the restaurant industry's summer trend of heading outside to keep business going during the coronavirus pandemic, the other Urban Plates in the San Fernando Valley, on Ventura Boulevard in Woodland Hills, also recenly expanded its outdoor seating.

And as an added lure for patrons, both restaurants are offering new summer menu items, including a Ribs Family Meal that serves four. Priced at $59.95, the special includes four half-racks of heritage pork ribs, two large sides, such as Old Bay potatoes and harissa corn on the cob, along with four slices of grilled rustic bread.

The chain also is known for its "$10 Everyday Menu," daily featuring 10 items for $10 each.
