2 Alameda Residents Die In Solano County Crash
The pair were in a pickup truck that went off Interstate Highway 505 and struck a tree, the CHP says.
SOLANO COUNTY, CA — Two Alameda residents died when their pickup truck went off northbound Interstate Highway 505 and through a fence Monday afternoon in north Solano County near Winters, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deceased were identified by the Solano County Coroner's Office as Michael Pascua, 72, and Fely Pascua, 71, both of Alameda.
At 2:08 p.m. Monday, the pair were in a 1999 Ford F-150 that went off northbound I-505 at the Gaddino Road offramp, just south of Putah Creek Road and the Yolo County line, the CHP reported.

The red pickup truck was found 40 feet off the roadway, and had major front-end damage, according to the CHP.
The investigation revealed the truck turned right off the roadway, went through a chain-link fence and into an orchard where it struck a tree, CHP officials said.

The cause of the crash remained under investigation but alcohol was not suspected as a factor, according to the CHP.
