Adoptable Pet of the Week: Baby the Long-Haired Beauty
Each week, Alameda Patch will highlight an adoptable animal that's waiting for a "forever" home" at the Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter (FAAS).

By Mim Carlson, Executive Director at Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter (FAAS)
I'm Baby, here with my mom in this photo.  I'm the beauty in the back with the long hair.  I'm not really a baby since I'm about 5 years old but I love my mom, Keetchoon, and hope we can go together to our forever home.  We're quiet and loving, and  will be quite the "belles of the ball" in your home.
Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter (FAAS) has over 50 available pets for adoption. Â The shelter is open Wednesdays 11AM - 7PM, and Thursday-Sunday from 11AM - 5PM. Â Visit the shelter during Maddie's Fund Pet Adoption Days on June 1st and 2nd and adopt a pet for FREE!! Â Adopters must have all people living with them meet their potential new best friend (including any current dogs if adopting a dog), and must show proof of home ownership or a lease agreement indicating pets are allowed.
The shelter is located at 1590 Fortmann Way, Alameda, CA Â 94501. Â Visit the adorable pets on the FAAS website at www.AlamedaAnimalShelter.org and call 510-337-8565 for more information.
