School Supply & Backpack Drive for Alameda County Youth

Donations accepted at any 1st United Credit Union branch until August 2, 2018.

1st United Credit Union is sponsoring a school supply drive in support of Alternative Family Services and the Alameda County Family Justice Center. Their goal this year is to collect enough supplies and backpacks for 200 students.

Community members can participate by donating backpacks and school supplies for elementary, middle and high school students. Donations are appreciated through August 2, 2018 and can be dropped off at any one of 1st United’s eight branches.

Alternative Family Services (AFS) is a foster, adoptions and mental health agency that has been creating safe, permanent connections for foster children and youth in the Bay Area since 1978. 1st United has been proudly supporting AFS for many years.

Alameda County Family Justice Center’s mission is to ensure the safety, healing, and self-empowerment of victims of domestic violence and their children, of victims of sexual assault and exploitation, human trafficking, child abuse, stalking, and elder and dependent adult abuse through easily accessible, coordinated, comprehensive and culturally sensitive services.
