ALAMEDA, CA - A colorful mural in Alameda is bringing joy to several families as they stay safe during the coronavirus pandemic.
The mural, originally started as a project to entertain and occupy the children of three families who are part of a local neighborhood "bubble," was created over three days.
The adults from the three families on Pearl Street drew the outlines for the mural on the outside of an attached garage, and the children were tasked with filling it in.

The images depict the fun the families have in their backyards, with two kids playing, two family dogs and other members of the families included throughout.
"The family ties were strengthened by the project, although they were already united by the bubble," said Joel Bernstein, one of neighbors.
