Alameda Point Phase 1 Conveyance Ceremony on June 24
The ceremony marks the Phase I Conveyance, consisting of 511 acres of land and 870 acres of submerged property.

The City of Alameda is holding an Alameda Point Conveyance Ceremony on Monday, June 24 at the north main gate at Alameda Point (Main Street and Navy Way).
Congresswoman Barbara Lee, Assistant Secretary of the Navy Roger Natsuhara, Mayor Marie Gilmore and City Manager John Russo are expected to attend the ceremony, which begins at 2 p.m.
The ceremony marks the Phase I Conveyance, which includes transferring of the following property: 509 acres of land and 870 acres of submerged land, according to the website Alameda Point Info.Â

Other parcels are expected to be conveyed as soon as environmental cleanup is completed, with the final conveyance expected by 2019, the website states. There will be a total of four phases.
