Alameda Restauranter Sentenced to 10 Years for Ecstasy Trafficking
According to court documents, David Chong, 38, worked at the Magic Wok restaurant.

An Alameda man was sentenced to 10 years in prison on Thursday for storing distributing thousands of pills of ecstasy in his local restaurant, according to an article by the Oakland Tribune.
According to court documents, David Chong, 38, worked at the Magic Wok restaurant located at 839 Marina Village Parkway. The documents indicated that the restaurant was owned by his family.
The affidavit was filed in January 2010 and ownership of the restaurant may have changed since that time according to DEA Public Information Officer Casey Rettig.
He was sentenced by United States District Judge Morrison C. England Jr. for his role in ecstasy trafficking that led to the seizure of 39,000 pills in 2008, authorities told the Oakland Tribune.
