Most road closures and detours will be in effect between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. for the 4th of July Parade on Thursday.

From Alameda Police Department
On July 4th, at 9 a.m., the Alameda Police Department and event personnel will close streets along the entire 4th of July parade route.
Most road closures and detours will be in effect between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Some streets near the parade staging area and the festival area will be closed as early as 6 a.m. Vehicles parked along the parade route will be towed if not moved by 5 a.m. This is necessary for the safety of the participants and setup.
Please review the attached road closure grid and course map (or click here) for more information.
Residents and businesses located near the parade route are urged to plan ahead and to be aware of road closure schedules and alternate access routes.
If you live along the parade route and are planning to invite guests to join you for parade festivities, be sure to advise them to arrive prior to the 9 a.m. street closures.
