Bank of Alameda-Bank of Marin Merger Completed
Alameda City Treasurer Kevin Kennedy joins the board of directors of the parent company, Bank of Marin Bancorp.
Bank of Marin Bancorp (BMRC), parent company of Bank of Marin, has announced the completion of the merger of NorCal Community Bancorp, parent company of Bank of Alameda into BMRC, effective Nov. 29, 2013, according to a BMRC press release.
Also effective on Nov. 29 with the closing of the merger, Kevin Kennedy, previously a director of NorCal and Bank of Alameda, has joined the BMRC and Bank of Marin boards of directors, the release says. Kennedy is currently serving his fourth term as Alameda city treasurer.
The purchase of Bank of Alameda by the Bank of Marin's parent company was announced last summer.
