Carter's to Open Children's Store at South Shore Center

Carter's, the children's clothing and accessories company, will open a new store at Alameda's South Shore Center early next year, shopping center officials announced Monday in a press release.

The company has signed a 10-year lease for a 4,178-foot space near Kohl's, the release said. The store is scheduled to open during the first quarter of 2014.

Carter’s selected South Shore Center primarily due to the recent influx of family-friendly tenants and the center’s focus on events that appeal to children, teens and adults, said Sara Sanders of SRS Real Estate Partners, who represented Carter’s in the transaction.
