City Clerk Seeking One More Couple to Tie the Knot on 12/12/12

The City Clerk’s Office is looking for one more special couple to make a total of 12 for tomorrow’s 12-12-12 City Hall Weddings. If this is you, call today at 510-747-4800.

Last year, 11 lucky couples were married at City Hall on 11-11-11. Again, this year, civil wedding ceremonies are offered on Wednesday, 12-12-12.

This will be the last opportunity to have a same date, month and year wedding, unless couples want to wait 89 years for the next possible occurrence on 01-01-2101.

Much has been speculated about the symbolic meaning of 12-12-12, but couples getting married will give the date its own special meaning.
