Community Supper in Montclair Village Draws a Big Turn Out
The fundraiser dinner supported the Antioch Court street-scape improvement project
The Montclair Village Association hosted their Sunday Supper, treating attendees to a fun-filled event with food, drink and music for a good cause.
The Montclair Village Association (MVA) kicked off its campaign to fund improvements to Antioch Court with a Sunday supper, featuring local music, food, drinks and festivity on a beautiful spring evening last April 7th.
Daniel Swafford, executive director of the MVA, spoke to the more than 200 attendees at the outdoor dinner about the many improvements to Montclair’s business district in recent years and the urgency of completing the funding to create a pedestrian plaza on Antioch Court for community events. District 4 Representative Sheng Thao spoke about Oakland’s efforts to improve city streets, including her support for the Antioch Court infrastructure project as a means to build community and attract visitors from all over Oakland to Montclair Village’s vibrant commercial district.

Attendees enjoyed live music from the Beat Seekers and the Skyline Jazz Band, along with delicious food
from Kouzina and wine from local vintner Urbano.
