Council OKs 'Parking Meter Holidays' for Park Street, Webster Street Shopping Areas
Plus you can 'Park on Patch" on Saturday, Nov. 30, with free buisness district parking courtesy of Alameda Patch and American Express.

The Alameda City Council has enacted the 2013 “Meter Holiday” to provide free all-day parking at metered spaces for Park Street and West Alameda Business Districts on “Black Friday,” Nov. 29, and the four Saturdays in December.
Alameda Patch, in partnership with American Express, will be picking up the tab for parking on the Park Street and Webster Street business districts on Saturday, Nov. 30, in support of small businesses in Alameda.
Although the meters will be free on these days, drivers should observe the hour limits so that others may share in the opportunity to park as well.
The “Meter Holidays” are: Friday, Nov. 29, and ALL Saturdays in December.
