The Alameda County District Attorney's office has dropped charges against a Planning Board member and union official arrested in November 2012 during a strike in Alameda against Raley's and Nob Hill, according to the Alameda Journal.

Mike Henneberry, who is on Alameda's planning board and is also communications director for Local 5 of the United Food & Commercial Workers, was accused by a store employee of battery and was placed under citizen's arrest.

A police report stated that during the labor dispute, Henneberry entered the store and was then followed by the employee, "which enraged him." It goes to say that unprovoked, Henneberry punched the employee in his face using his fist, and then intentionally threw the employee's phone.
