Dead Body Found in Van Parked Outside Nob Hill Supermarket

Alameda County coroner's bureau currently has the body of Alden Mah, 53, in custody and will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of his death.

A dead body was found in a van parked outside of Nob Hill Foods Thursday afternoon.

The body of Alden Mah, 53, is currently being held by the Alameda County coroner's bureau, which will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

The coroner's bureau has so far been unable to determine where Mah
lived or how he died. According to staff, it may take as long as 2 months to hear the cause of his death.

The website www.mylife.com states that Mah had moved back and forth from Oakland to Alameda and then back to Oakland.

A call was made to Alameda Police Department around 1:30 p.m. according to a dispatcher, reporting that Mah's body was found inside a vehicle. APD was unable to release any further information.

Several police cars arrived at the scene and blocked off the area in the 2500 block of Blanding Avenue with police tape according to reports from several readers.
